You have already met a lot of letters after names. PX Docs is one more unless someone tells you what it actually is.
PX Docs is a post-graduate pediatric training path. It is neurologically-focused chiropractic for kids and babies, with a shared way of measuring before care begins. It is a credential. It is not a diagnosis, and it is not a treatment for a named condition.
What the training is
Pediatric spines are not small adult spines. Joints are more lax. The nervous system is still organizing. The contact has to match that.
PX Docs training covers infant and child anatomy, how to read a stress pattern in a growing system, and how to use INSiGHT scans so the first picture is not only what a doctor feels. Families who have been through the therapy circuit often arrive wanting that picture more than another opinion.
At Fika, pediatric visits are PX Docs trained. Pregnancy visits are Webster certified when that is the work. Dr. Danika is the founder. Your visit is with your doctor, named when we know who is in the room.
How it sits next to INSiGHT
PX Docs is the training. INSiGHT is the measurement.
The three scans (thermal, surface EMG, and heart-rate variability) give comparable data across visits. You can see what we’re seeing. We wrote the INSiGHT explainer for that chapter. How we measure is the room-level walk-through.
The credential without the scans is a story. The scans without pediatric training are a printout. We use both.
What it is not
PX Docs is not a promise to treat autism, ADHD, or a sensory diagnosis. Those belong with your developmental and medical team. We look at how the nervous system is handling load. That is a different job.
It is not a reason to skip your pediatrician. It is not a helmet clinic, a feeding practice, or physical therapy. Many Fika families keep those supports.
It is not “the only pediatric training in the East Bay.” We name what we have. We do not imply a vacuum.
What a visit feels like
For a baby, the contact is about the pressure you would use to check a ripe avocado. No twisting. No popping. Most babies relax or fall asleep.
For an older child, visits stay predictable. We explain before we touch. If the room is already too much, we pace the scans and the table time.
The first-time door is still the Fika Discovery Experience. Two visits. A named next step. Not a first adjustment on the calendar.
When to call your pediatrician too
Start there if you notice:
- A fever, poor feeding, or fewer wet diapers
- A child who is unusually hard to wake
- Breathing that looks like work, or a color change
- A new weakness, seizure, or sudden change in how they move
Credentials do not replace medical care.
