You get into bed. You get some hours. You still wake as if you owe the night something. Coffee works until it does not. Weekends are for catching up, and they do not catch up. You are not lazy. You are not recovered.
Sleep is the time. Recovery is whether the nervous system used it.
What you may be noticing
- Waking tired after a full night
- A second wind at 10 p.m., then a thin morning
- Wired-but-tired evenings
- A mind that reviews the day as soon as the house is quiet
- Sore neck or jaw in the morning
- A wearable that keeps telling you the same story you already know
If this is pregnancy, start with sleep in pregnancy. If this is your teen, start with teen sleep. This page is for you.
What’s happening underneath
A healthy system can mobilize and then come down. When it cannot come down, you may still sleep. You do not restore. Heart-rate variability is one window on that. So is how the body holds at rest. A braced neck and a clenched jaw are not great conditions for repair.
Caregiving, work, and a life that never clocks out all train the same pattern. You are good at being needed. The body forgot how to be off.
We do not run a sleep clinic. We do not hand you a guarantee. We measure how the system is adapting, then we show you.
What we look at
The Fika Discovery Experience is two visits. We listen to the night you are having, including the one where a child still wakes.
That often includes:
- INSiGHT scans, including heart-rate variability, so recovery is a picture
- Neck, jaw, and mid-back holding
- The real week. Work, caregiving, screens, the 3 a.m. listen-for-them
- A small number of changes that can live in a family life. Light in the morning. A dimmer last hour. Not a retreat schedule
Care is low-force. We show you what we’re seeing. If sleep apnea, depression, or a medical cause is in the room, we say the next door out loud.
Read HRV if you want the number side of this story.
What often shifts
People commonly notice:
- Waking a little less angry at the night
- A shorter runway into sleep
- Fewer morning headaches
- A wearable trend that finally moves
- More patience at 4 p.m., because the body has a little more in the tank
We do not promise eight perfect hours. We work toward a system that can use the hours it gets.
When to call your doctor too
Please do if you notice:
- Loud snoring, gasping, or pauses in breathing
- Chest pain, fainting, or breath that will not catch
